Overview

At Elevation Web, I was the guy in the middle—writing code, leading the team, and talking to clients. I managed a team of 4 developers and 2 designers. We were small, but we shipped a lot of work, and my job was to make sure the quality didn't drop.

Challenges

• Juggling Act: Balancing multiple high-priority projects with a lean team is always stressful.
• Platform Fatigue: We were developing on Drupal, Joomla, WordPress, and Magento. Context switching was a killer.
• Messy Integrations: Clients needed deep integrations with systems like DAXKO or weird payment gateways that often had terrible documentation.

Solution

Unified Workflow: I established a process that helped us switch between different CMS platforms without getting whiplash.

Custom Engineering: Instead of relying on buggy third-party plugins, I led the creation of custom, lightweight modules. It kept the sites faster and more secure.

Results

• Shipped It: We delivered custom solutions for everyone from local businesses to regional organizations.
• It Works: Successfully implemented robust payment processing for dozens of e-commerce properties.
