I read this in 2024 and it really stuck with me. It’s a great introduction to Buddhism, but more importantly, it makes you rethink how you see life and why we worry so much. The biggest thing I took away is how vital it is to just be present in whatever you’re doing. It sounds simple, but it was the most important lesson for me. I definitely want to keep reading more about Buddhism in the future.
My Thoughts
This book isn't just about theory; it's about shifting your perspective. Thich Nhat Hanh has this way of explaining complex ideas like suffering and compassion in a way that feels practical rather than just academic. It helped me realize how much of our stress comes from simply not being "here."
If you're looking for a way to slow down or want to understand mindfulness better, this is a perfect place to start.
